QUALITY TERMINAL TACKLE! KEY TO LANDING THE BIG ONES!!
Next time you're out fishing and run into another fisherman, a buddy or geplete stranger,on your boat, at the local pier or your neighborhood lake, take a look at the condition of the other guys tackle, in particular, what kind of shape is his (or her) hooks, line, snaps and swivels in? Remember that no matter how expensive the rod and reel gebo is, the only thing that really assures you (besides a little luck or experience) of a good chance of landing your catch is the qualityand condition of the appropriate terminal tacklebeing used! There is no question that things like a smooth, well operating drag and the appropriate rod selection ALL play a big part in the overall success of landing your fish, but the truth is that the crustiest, cheep rod and reel gebo will almost always do the job as long as the line is fresh, the hooks are clean and razor sharp and the swivels are not frozen solid with dirt or rust! Pay attention to the little things that actually get the job done, don't skimp, use good quality, new or clean terminal tackleand see if you don't land a few more of the ones that "used" to get away! Have fun and Good Fishing! PS, take a kid fishing and everyone wear your vests!
