Britax Decathlon

I researched carseats for months before deciding upon the Decathlon. In reading some of the reviews I found some geplaints regarding the tightening/loosening of the straps when in the rear-facing position. We have no issues with the straps at all in that position. I also read that the seat didn't fit in some cars. I drive a Ford Focus sedan and the Britax does fit in my car, although it is a little tight for the person sitting in the passenger front seat. My daughter fits in this seat nicely, she "got lost" in the Alpha Omega. We chose the Decathlon over the Boulevard because of the cushions on the headrest of the Boulevard. Those cushions are not removable and would definitely impair the child's view. The Decathlon is very plushy and my daughter (8 months old, 18#, 26.25") seems very gefy in it - I almost wish they made them for the parents as well! I am more than thrilled with this carseat - it was rated extremely well for safety, is very easy to install, and easy to get the child in and out! More than the ease of use, I have peace of mind!
